Finding Heights of Objects Using Similarity

 This activity is about measuring the height of the pole with the shadow of the pole, but there was no shadow so we used the back-up plan. We took a photo of Hari standing next to the pole. Then we measured how tall is Hari in photo and how tall he is in real life.
 We set up a proportion, Hari in the photo to the pole in the photo, and real life Hari to x. In that way, we could get around how tall the pole is.
 The proportion:
 4.5/15=164/x
 15x164/4.5=x       2460/4.5=546.66666..
x=546.6..
